Carolyn Clark Powers is a distinguished philanthropist and arts advocate whose leadership and generosity have expanded access to the arts at a transformative scale. She currently serves as Chair of the Board of The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Los Angeles, helping guide the museum’s ongoing commitment to broad public access.

In 2019, Carolyn made a landmark $10 million gift to MOCA that enabled the museum to introduce free general admission, an enduring commitment to the belief that art should be accessible to everyone.

Her philanthropic work spans the visual and performing arts, music education, and initiatives supporting children, women, and health. Carolyn is guided by a deep conviction in the power of creative connection.

Carolyn devotes her time and expertise to a variety of projects in the music and art world.
